Tooth Extraction Pain Fear Fear Of IV For Wisdom Teeth Extraction...help!?

Fear of IV for wisdom teeth extraction...help!? - tooth extraction pain fear

Hello there
I just got my wisdom teeth need tha drawn. I do not worry and pain, nothing. .. In fact, I am anxious to get an IV for sedation.

Is there anything I can do to relieve pain and calm my nerves? can perscribe me any drugs before hand if you're not careful, if the needle?

I know that sounds childish, but I'm afraid it's stupid, that's all.

Thanks for the help!

I had the same problem when I get my wisdom teeth a few years. I was scared to death of needles and fear of feeling pain. But honestly, it's not as bad as it seems it is. It's literally almost no pain! approximately 2 seconds after he put in hibernation and IV remembers nothing of waking up.

And you have a gas mask to calm, before, so you hardly notice the needle.
I suggest you'll see quite the opposite, and ask, say, when they are placed in the IV, later fell asleep for a few seconds
Believe me, all is well:)

I'm afraid of needles, but let me tell you, the DI was actually the easiest part of the day. Make an oral sedatives or nitrous oxide, or both. Nitrous I've always done the job in my mouth and I honestly feel completely in the dark, who can not a shit that the needle goes in. So do not worry do not do too much. You'll be glad to be overcome if the teeth.

I hope to go well in surgery and recovery! Good luck!

Trust me on this point. IV is the best on this day.

Getting gas to calm the nerves, and IV, left on the street. The next thing you know, you're on your way home with his teeth.

Good luck

When I extracted my wisdom teeth had to have IV too ... actually put a mask over his face and his breath a little ... I think it's a sedative to calm her down before inserting the IV ... helped.

Now, it is unfortunate that the worst is the feeling of shock in the arm after a few seconds, the dose was then wake up and more. Send me a message to share my experience with you

I had the same problem there is a cream that will numb the area talking to insert the needle and can be prescribed by your doctor to be of EMLA cream and 1 hours will be made prior to arrival will be put on IV, so if I have some oral surgery done by a quick spray, how to get in the IV and I feel nothing, then you should ask your dentist what they go before the planned use of d 'and find something else. (Incidentally, this comes from a needle phobia, 15)
